Royal Air Force Cosford is easy to find being located just off the A41 approximately 1 mile south of junction 3 on the M54. It is also highly accessible by rail and Cosford Halt is adjacent to the airfield and only a few hundred yards from all of the action. See our ticket information page for combined rail and Air Show tickets.
Being so close to the motorway network access to Cosford is both simple and fast. However, the motorways unfortunately do not go right into our free car parks and despite a highly refined and practised traffic management plan some congestion over this latter stage of your journey may be possible.
Which ever way you come, however, you will find that the Air Show is well signposted over practically the whole area depicted on the map below. Do not forget that as you get closer you can listen to Radio Cosford on 87.9 MHz FM to get all of the latest news.
Traffic Regulation Order
Please note that on the day of the show the normal flow of traffic on some roads around Cosford is changed. For example, The Old Worcester Road from the traffic lights on the A41 becomes one way into the show in the morning and one way out again later in the day. The same is also true for Neachley Lane from Stanton Road to the Show entrance. These restrictions mean that in the morning, until the flow is reversed, it is not possible to return along either of these roads. Accordingly, the nearest ‘drop off point’ is in the vicinity of the Cosford Garage on the A41. Vehicles, including Taxis, entering the site and wishing to leave immediately may suffer considerable delays before being escorted off site via an alternative route.
Operators of vehicles over 7.5 T should also be aware that the only route into, and out of, the Show is via the Old Worcester Road from the lights on the A41.
