AirSound
The award-winning AirSound - that's commentator Seán Maffett and producer Jonathan Ruffle - will once again provide the commentary for this year's show. For more than 20 years, AirSound has done air shows big and small - from the giant Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford, to tiny events like the Battle of Britain memorial day at Capel le Ferne, with shows like Dubai International, and Fly To The Past at Blenheim Palace in between.
Seán and Jonathan also do historically-based dramas for big English Heritage events such as the Festival of History. AirSound did the commentary for the Son-et-Lumière at the Trafalgar 200 celebrations at Portsmouth in 2005, which won a gold award for 'Best Public Event'. Seán was awarded the Air Display Association Europe's Hayward Aviation Trophy in 2003, and he and Jonathan have both been award-winners in the world of broadcasting.
Seán's reaction to our invitation to commentate at the Royal Air Force Cosford Air Show 2008? "Cosford's a show that we really enjoy. It's not too big, not too small, it's on an elegant old Air Force station, and it always has great flying.”
AirSound does air show commentary to broadcast standards.
